News taken from the April " Mountain Messages Newsletter" ********************************************************************** ********************************************************************** Recently Mountain Messages sent WAPA members a salary survey. Forty-nine were sent out and Thirty-two were returned. The results show an average over all salary of $70,000. The average number of years in practice is 17. The salary ranges from $46,500 to $150,000. Years in practice 0 - 10 yrs. ------- $67,731 11 - 20 yrs. ------- $81,600 21 - 32 yrs. ------- $72,554 BONUS - 15 out of 32 receive some kind of bonus. This varied from 20% of production to a flat rate of 5,000 to 10,000 dollars per year. One PA received a $2000 per year Christmas Bonus. BENEFITS - 17 out of 31 PA's take call. Vacation varied from 2 weeks to 6 weeks per year. Most all received health and Life insurance, employer paid CME and professional dues. **********************************************************************
