POSTED- WAPA

PA of the Year 2007

Val Goen has become very active on the PA Board of Directors.  She joined our board as a committee member on the Impairment Committee.  She then became a board member, taking over when Meagan Hillman moved to Colorado.  She is always willing to have the board meetings at her office and to help out when help is needed.  Until August of last year, she was the medical director at the CAP (Children's Advocacy Project) and was on call 24 hour a day, 7 days a week to examine child victims of abuse.  Although she left that position in August of last year, she continues to see these children at her office/  Staff at the CAP Center say she is "Fantastic".  "She always goes the extra mile to see that these kids get the quality care they deserve."  In August of last year, she took over as Interim Medical Director of the Community Health Center of Central Wyoming.  A new Medical Director has recently taken over, but Val was asked to continue to be the Associate Medical Director, a position she now holds in addition to seeing patients in the clinic.

Congratulations Val on exemplifying the virtues of a great PA.
