Always marching forward.

Band Camp starts in August with a mix of first-timers, people finding their groove, and seasoned marchers.

As the marching season progresses, members of the band learn to balance self-expression with working together as a cohesive band.

From football games to parades, the band has earned its moniker as the “Pride of Clintonville.”

Step onto the field.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step

Veterans Day Parade

November 10th, 2022

The Whetstone High School Marching band performed in the 2022 Columbus, Ohio Veterans Day Parade. They marched proudly in line with military bands, other high school bands, military units, and police units. The band will again perform in the Columbus, Ohio Veterans Day Parade on November 9th, 2023

Steeped in tradition.

The Whetstone Marching Band has deep ties to The Ohio State University: from a Band Director who marched with TBDBITL to a former Director who advanced to become Assistant Director of The Ohio State University Marching and Athletic Bands.

Graduates of the Whetstone Marching Band often carry their passion for marching band to the next level, performing in collegiate marching bands across the country and pursuing careers in music or music education.

Everyone in the marching band leaves with lifelong froends and fond memories of Whetstone traditions.

Keep the spirit alive.

The Whetstone Marching Band thrives because of the people around the musicians: passionate instructors, supportive staff, engaged families, and a caring community.

Generous donations from our community help provide much-needed instrument repair/replacement, unique performance opportunities like marching in Disney World, and repair/replacement of the band’s classic navy uniforms originally purchased in the 1960s.
