theatre > on stage

all the world is a stage.

Each year, as the next class of senior actors graduate, people wonder if the program will ever be the same. By the first show the following fall, a new wave of actors show they are ready to lead. No year is like another, because no two actors are the same.

And that is what makes acting at WAPA special.

Get in on the action.

  • casting call

Rehearsal begins before the show even starts. Actors help each other practice before trying out for roles, both big and small.

  • practicing lines

Once roles are announced, students read the script and begin memorizing and practicing their lines.

  • rehearsals

The journey to opening night grows closer with many rehearsals, helping the cast develop their characters and flow.

  • costume fitting

The CAST and the CREW come together when each actor is fitted for their costume, hair, and makeup.

  • dress rehearsal

The first dress rehearsal usually starts shaky…like magic the show comes together by the final dress rehearsal.

  • day of show

Nothing beats the feeling of being alongside CAST and CREW at the end of a show.
